On this project, we excavated to the depth of the septic tank its removal and following the removal of this tank, we backfilled the excavated sections. Often located underground, septic tanks are an integral part of any building as they collect all building sewage effluent. The tank allows this sewage to decompose in a process of bacterial activity where it then drains onto its next stage—a leaching field or pipes leading to a sewage treatment facility.
