MGI Construction Corp. was hired to complete complex demolition and abatement works at 16 Comstock Road in Scarborough. The scope included the removal and disposal of extensive block and drywall partitions, control/office spaces, and multiple roll-up and overhead doors. Major reinforced structures were also dismantled, including the North-East sterilization chamber with associated curbing, flooring, and platforms, along with a two-level concrete and block room within the South sterilization chamber. In addition to full interior demolition, MGI performed designated substance abatement of transite explosion panels, ensuring safe removal and compliant disposal of asbestos-containing materials. The work also included the removal of steel bollards, railings, and other structural features, executed with strict attention to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
