MGI Construction, as the general contractor on-site, performed numerous construction tasks including partial demolition, environmentally-friendly tank removal (including all interior and exterior piping that was previously connected to the tank), and the site remediation associated with the Durham Region Transit Raleigh Maintenance Facility. The new building replaced the old one that was originally constructed in 1964. The $26-million project upgrade can now maintain and service up to 85 buses.
